Flor, the sherry yeast” wins the II Pilar Plá Pechovierto Award for Entrepreneurship and Excellence

The candidacy “Flor, the sherry yeast” presented by Noelia Herrera and Carmen Granados has won the Pilar Plá Pechovierto Award for Entrepreneurship and Excellence, convened in its second edition by Bodegas El Maestro Sierra.

The jury unanimously decided on the award this past Thursday in a meeting held at the winery, and announced it this Monday after personally communicating it to the winners.

Doña María del Carmen Borrego Plá, owner of the winery and president of the jury, once again highlighted “the level and extraordinary entrepreneurial quality of the projects submitted to the competition”, as was the case in the previous edition. In some cases, this year. with some proposal coming from outside the Framework as expected.

The jury has highlighted the candidacy that has won the award, “the pedagogical and experiential perspective of the proposal towards children without gender difference and the consideration of wine as a sign of cultural identity and not only as a consumer product”, among other.

Exceptionally this year, the jury has decided to grant recognition “unanimously and for Excellence to Mrs. María Dolores Flores Ruiz, artistically known as Lola Flores, on the Centenary of her birth, for the extraordinary significance of the Jerez and universal figure”.

The prize will be awarded at a public ceremony on March 4, the date close to the commemoration of the death of Doña Pilar. It will take place at 1:00 p.m., at the headquarters of the El Maestro Sierra winery.
